Why Do We Write?

This simple question never occurred to me to ask my clients. And in a year of attending Writers Lunches, I have no sense of what brings each of us to the gatherings or the writing process. I look forward to moderating a conversation among us. It will satisfy my curiosity and give us a chance to talk together, instead of being talked to.

I'm also happy to answer any questions about the writing and refining processes that (gladly) occupy my professional days. Questions to contemplate: What is the mystery in your heart that drives your writing? What are you trying to accomplish? How do you feel about the process and how do you go about the process?
