Raven Black
by Ann Cleaves

book cover image

Ravens circle the strangled body of a teen on a cold Shetland morning. A simpleton is believed by locals to be the killer, but when detective Jimmy Perez from the mainland insists on a thorough investigation, everyone is under suspicion. Ann Cleeves' thriller Raven Black won the Duncan Lawrie Dagger Award for the best crime novel of 2006.

Each month, a member of Brown Bag Mystery Readers nominates a mystery novel and leads a discussion. A librarian is on-hand to facilitate the book chat and to update the group with any news. All MI members are welcome to drop in to these meetings.
