WordPress Bootcamp: Creating a WordPress Website and How to Use It
Presented by Linda Lee, web designer and founder of WordPress Bootcamp

Assistant for this class will be, Mary Knippel, blogger and editor.

We will be covering:

  • The basics of using a WordPress built website.
  • Logging In
  • The Dashboard
  • Themes and Menus
  • How to write and publish a blog post
  • Adding tags or keywords and categories
  • How to correctly title your blog posts and the search engine optimization basics.
  • Working with Images, sizes, and how to find copyright free images

Each attendee will be given a WordPress test site, set up with plugins and ready to use, so the class will be able to learn at the same pace. You will have access to your WordPress test site for 90 days after class to continue to practice or refresh what you will learn.

You will be given a zip drive, which you may keep, with all the training materials ready to go including the login for your test site in class.

This class includes an online follow up set of 6 video lessons covering what you learned.

You will have lifetime access to those videos. Class starts promptly at 1:00 and we will take one 15 minute break. We will have 30 minutes at the end for Q and A.
