Did COVID curtail your creativity? Are you looking to reengage with or reinvigorate your creative pursuits post-pandemic?
Join author, podcaster, and MI member Matthew Félix for a talk about how to reconnect with your creativity in a post-pandemic world. Matthew will discuss assessing your current frame of mind, as well as the state of your project(s), whether ones already underway or in the works. He’ll share his approach to identifying obstacles preventing progress and how to get unstuck, as well as ways to open to inspiration, get inspired again, and stay that way—including why clearing the mind and fostering an awareness of the body is essential, and how to do both. Matthew will also underscore the importance of not merely following someone else’s creative process but finding and developing your own.
Matthew Félix is an author who also works in areas as diverse as podcasting, video production, visual design, and more. Matthew has extensive experience in teaching, training, and performing, both onstage and online, and he has spoken about subjects ranging from marketing for authors to podcasting to creativity. Publishers Weekly’s BookLife Prize called Matthew’s debut novel, A Voice Beyond Reason, “(a) highly crafted gem.” Matthew’s With Open Arms won four Solas Awards and topped Amazon’s Africa and Morocco categories. Matthew’s latest book, Porcelain Travels, won Gold for Humor in the 2019 Readers’ Favorite Awards and was a Foreword INDIES Humor Book of the Year Award finalist. Matthew is also the Program Director and Host of the San Francisco Writers Conference podcast.
