Join longtime San Francisco Chronicle baseball writer John Shea for a conversation about his collaboration with Willie Mays on Mays’ new memoir, 24: Life Stories and Lessons from the Say Hey Kid.

John Shea is the San Francisco Chronicle's national baseball writer and columnist. He is in his 38th year covering baseball, including 33 in the Bay Area. He wrote three baseball books, including Rickey Henderson's biography Confessions of a Thief and Magic by the Bay, an account of the 1989 World Series. 24: Life Stories and Lessons from the Say Hey Kid has reachedNo. 13 on the New York Times non-fiction best-seller list, No. 4 in Northern California, and No. 1 on Amazon for baseball books.
