4 round swiss, USCF OTB regular rated.
 

LOCATION: Mechanics' Institute Chess Club (57 Post Street, San Francisco, CA 94104 - click here for map)
 

ONSITE REGISTRATION: No onsite registration. Players and Parents must register online in advance.
 

TIME CONTROL:

• G/30;d5: Game in 30 minutes with 5 second delay each move
• affecting USCF OTB Regular AND Quick rating (so called dual rated)

 

ROUNDS:

• 10:00AM, and rolling schedule: this means as soon as all the games are finished in a round, TD pairs the next round, and round/games start within 5 minutes to posting the pairings.
• Expected end time: around 1:30PM
   

SECTIONS:

• 700+
• 400-699
• Under 400 & Unrated players
• TDs reserve the right to adjust the sections based on the players signed up to better serve them.
   

BYES:

• Max of byes: 2 Last round to request a bye: 2
• Number of rounds in tourney: 4
• Bye note: All bye requests after round 2 will be 0 point
   

PRIZES:

• Trophies to top 5 finishers (including tie breaks), medals for all others.
• Trophy ceremony at the end of tournament, right after last round finishes.
   

FEE:

• Mechanics' Members: $30
• Non-members: $35
• USCF membership required
