Given the number of awards received, they may not be so hidden, but comedy duo Wallace and Gromit never fail to bring a smile to my face when I come across one of their movies. A stop-motion film creation by artist Nick Park, the character of Wallace is a good natured, cheese-loving inventor who relies heavily on his canine companion Gromit to keep their lives humming along. Along with recurring friendly characters, the British pair have (thus far) starred in 4 short films and 2 feature length movies, plus numerous spinoffs, TV series, video games, and even an amusement park ride.
In addition to winning over 100 awards around the world, every film in the franchise has been either nominated for or won an Academy Award.
