Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead (1990)
April 2017: Literary License

Directed by Tom Stoppard
Tim Roth, Gary Oldman

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern know something is wrong. Rosencrantz flipped heads on a coin 78 times consecutively. They can't seem to keep track of their own names. And what's the matter with their old schoolmate, Hamlet? Can't he cheer up? Director Tom Stoppard has ably adapted his absurdist play to the screen, with excellent performances by both Gary Oldman as Rosencrantz and Tim Roth as Guildenstern. Richard Dreyfus is appropriately hammy and sinister as the Leading Player.
