The Great Imposter (1961)
March 2017: Imposter!

Directed by Robert Mulligan
Tony Curtis, Karl Malden

In the 1940s, a brilliant but impatient young man named Ferdinand Waldo Demara Jr. went AWOL from the army and started a series of impersonations that included passing himself off as a civil engineer, a doctor, a lawyer, and a monk. Here, Tony Curtis plays Demara with charm and humor as someone genuinely gifted at everything he turns his hands to, but repeatedly exposed for his lack of credentials. Is he truly a "fraud" when he's actually good at what he does? Karl Malden plays the parish priest who vainly tries to keep Demara on the straight and narrow.
