The Reinvention Recipe: One Part Desperation. One Part Aggravation. One Part Decimation. One Part Liberation.

This is the age of perpetual learning and self-exploration, driven in part by the great personal reckoning that Americans performed in the midst of the Great Recession. Lee Rainie, the director of internet, science, and technology research at the Pew Research Center, will describe how people and organizations have come to terms with these realities – or been flummoxed by them. Technology is at the center of the story. It has driven wide cultural and political change, empowered people to try new things, and forced organizations to figure out new ways to pursue their missions. He will explore how technology undergirds the process of reevaluation and reinvention in people and institutions.
