David Madson

David Madson is Director of Leadership and Planned Giving with Alameda Health System Foundation where he works with individuals to accomplish their goal of advancing healthcare excellence and health equity for all. AHSF is currently in a $40+M (final goal to be determined) campaign, with over $23M raised to date. David has worked in similar roles with Sutter Health: California Pacific Medical Center Foundation, University of California San Francisco Foundation and the University of Minnesota Foundation.  He is Immediate Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals: Golden Gate chapter, and serves on the AFP International Conference Education Advisory Committee. David formerly served for ten years on the Board of Directors of Mechanics Institute. He lives in Albany, CA, is married to Helen DeMichiel, an independent filmmaker, and is a father of a daughter and son. On weekends David enjoys long-distance bicycle riding and is training for his fifth annual double century- 200 miles in one day.
