Carolyn Waters

Carolyn Waters is the Head Librarian of The New York Society Library, the oldest library in New York City. She joined the Library’s staff in 2007 and has held positions in the Circulation, Cataloging, Reference, and Acquisitions Departments and founded the Library’s Writer Services programming, serving the needs of the Library’s large and diverse community of member writers. Before receiving her Master’s degree in Library Science from the Pratt Institute, Carolyn was a management consultant and an executive in the financial services industry. She holds an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business.
