The Thursday Fiction Writers' Group has an opening for one or two new members. We meet in person every other Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The group's purpose is for our members to have fun and further their fiction writing. During each meeting, we discuss pages that have been shared by two or three of our members. The pages, which could be chapters from an ongoing novel or a standalone short story, are circulated one week in advance. Members commit to reading the pages before the meeting and coming to the meeting ready to discuss. On average, each member shares their pages about once a month, and the pages shared for each meeting total about 15,000 words. Our discussions are designed to provide members with respectful and supportive insight into what works in the pages they have shared, and what could be improved.
